This is the front cover (made from Roe Deer skin) of the Pathfinders Troop Log for 1968-9.
Although not having the original document the archive contains a digital copy of its content. The Pathfinders replaced the Hospital Scouts - which along with other hospital based scout troops nationally - was removed from the Scouting Movement in the 1960s. In response to this act Dennis Parsonage, the Royal Albert Scoutmaster, set up the Pathfinders. Much of the log book relates to the annual summer camp at Silverdale, a village about 15 miles away from the institution.
Access to this log book was kindly granted by Malcolm Alston who took over the running of the Pathfinders from Dennis Parsonage. The latter compiled the log book in the first place.
