This is a photograph of  a memorial which was placed in the front entrance of the Royal Albert Hospital. It honours William John Brannan, a patient who died in the Boer War in 1900. The plaque was still there in 2006 when the building was in use as an Islamic College. Along with a Roll Of Honour from the First World War it recognises the involvement of patients (past and present) in the Armed Forces. (Photograph Ref No. 13.1)
